At the beginning of the year, we thought it would be a good idea to organise a beach trip. This would help children and their families to settle into the Beachcomber environment. We distributed a newsletter, poster and map informing families of the event. On the day, we had a lovely morning at Cockle Bay Beach with lots of Beachcomber families. Children explored the beach and found lots of interesting shells and seaweed. Some children found crabs under the rocks. After morning we went on an expedition to find the thumb print of Manawatere under the big pohutukawa tree. Some children enjoyed cooling off by playing in the water. It looks like everyone had a very happy time playing at the beach. Thank you for coming along and joining us.
