We also recently purchased a wooden tool set containing, nuts, bolts, screwdrivers, rods and wheels.
Often children ask to have the BIG truck in the sandpit, where freight and roading are role played.
This led on to our Wheelie Wednesday Wheels Day.
Recently, we purchased Mobilo to add to our existing equipment. This created a new interest with the children constructing vehicles, adding lots of wheels to make planes, fige engines and trucks, to name a few.

To help celebrate, children made colourful cards to give to their mum's on Mothers Day.
We also celebrated Mothers Day by inviting mum's, aunty's and gramdma's in to the centre to have fun with their children. Later we shared afternoon tea. The pumpkins in our garden were ready to pick. There was a small one, a middle sized one and a big one. Children also brought their pumpkins from home to show us. There were lots of different sizes. Some were small, others were very big. We weighed and measured them all. The biggest pumpkin was over 6 kgs!! Teachers made soup with the kindy pumpkins and we all got to taste it. Mmmm...it was delicious!! Children also made pumpkin soup at home with the pumpkins they had grown. Maybe we will save the seeds so we can plant more pumpkins in the springtime. |
